Showdown at Big Creek VII Glock Challenge

This Weekend the Young Marines of Pensacola along with Emerald Coast Young Marines participated in #CommunityService at the #GlockChallenge in Mobile, Alabama. The Challenge was held at the Mobile County Sheriff's Department Training Range.

Our Young Marines put in two long hot days of community service. The Sheriff's Department was #Awesome! Deputy R. W. Gamper made sure we had a place to camp on Friday and Saturday night. He Provided us with firewood, water, and ice for our campsite and he makes a great hamburger!

Although we worked hard, we managed to find #TimeForFun. The parents of one of our #YoungMarines, Billy Campos and his wife Holly hosted a cookout and pool party for us on Saterday night. It was just what we needed to cool off.

It was great, while we were there, we found time to decorate cookies and have a bonfire too!

But Sunday afternoon is when things really got fired up. After a gun safety class given by Lieutenant David Robbinson, our Young Marines were allowed to shoot.

It looks like hard work really does pay off. Great job Young Marines!
